Butch Trucks and The Freight Train was formed two years ago and has received critical acclaim and rave reviews for their fantastic live shows from their four US tours. GABBAfest features classic blues and Southern rock performers as well as up-and-coming blues stars and a jam session. The Georgia Allman Brothers Band Association, or GABBA, formed in 1992 and has been hosting a version of the festival since its founding.
The Historic Macon Music Registry, highlighting contributions of legends such as Otis Redding, Little Richard and the Allman Brothers, will be unveiled Sept. 21 with a news conference at The Creek and a free Rock Candy Tour, ending at Grant’s Lounge.
The Georgia Allman Brothers Band Association wrapped-up its annual music festival in Macon, GA recently after three days of perfectly peachy music, and brotherhood. Fans traveled from as far as Finland to hear five outstanding bands, participate in jams, plant trees, and generally bask in the brotherly shadow of the Allman Brothers Band. GABBAfest holds something for everyone and this year was no exception.

success opening on Friday June 19th at Macon’s Cox Capitol Theatre with premier of The BIG HOUSE documentary film “Please Call Home” followed by Chicago House of Blues star Lefty Collins Band with the Vancura Brother’s keeping an audience on their toes and feet throughout the rest of the evening.
